Introduction

    Link to heading

Binary loading and analysis are essential in reverse engineering, debugging, and security research. While Linux uses ELF as the standard binary format, manually parsing it is tedious and error-prone.

This project implements a custom binary loader, following the book Practical Binary Analysis, with fixes to the original code to account for changes in function signatures. It uses libbfd, the GNU Binary File Descriptor library, to handle low-level parsing. The loader only loads function symbols and code/data sections, providing a structured and reusable interface.
